love letter.

love letter to inspiration.
you are the warm breeze that tickles my nose, upon my first step onto the balcony. you are the evanescent lingering aroma that the fresh navel orange leaves on my breath. so delicious, peculiar and yet refreshing.you sound like lovingly stroked black keys…
you know that floating feeling that fills your lungs with air and your heart with joy, and makes you feel like you almost can't breathe and has you speaking in short spurts in a low sultry tone. that aura, that excitement that is unlike any other, that is you.
you are the feeling that comes only randomly, you cannot be clocked, planned or forced. you are the beautiful rainbow that arises from the rain fall. forever mine, i cherish the moments we have together. and lust after you when you disappear.

the world around me.

i knew you were beautiful ever since i heard your smile.

babble

so i never finished writing about spring break. it was awesome. maybe one day ill post pictures.  idk.. im bad with completion.

i think theres a fat girl living inside of me.  the other day for an hour i googled asian pastries, trying to find that certain bing and bun i tasted in tenth grade in the village in nyc on my nyu visit.

anyway. im trying to convince myself to study. its not working. school is about as exciting as swimming in cement. not cool.
at this current moment im in between a rock and a hard place.  i cant decide n whether or not i should go to publix to get food to cook even though im not that ungry, paint , or study for eco.  the first two are good ideas. i think.

im just really tired and in a warped state of mind right now.  gainesville literally bores me to tears as well as school.   i hate my job but i need money and it tears at my heart doing something i so passionately dislike.  im annoyed right now.

im annoyed that boston is losing to the knicks as we speak.  so annoyed that i refuse to watch the game.  im annoyed that i lack any sense of motivation to study for this foreign language called economics.  im annoyed that my refrigerator is for the most part sparse and my wallet for the most part is empty. im annoyed that my laundry isnt folded and no one is going to do it for me.  im annoyed that i had to come back from spring break, which is probably the reason why i havent written about it, for fear that the remembrances will cause me to suffer from heavy withdrawal symptoms.   im annoyed that my iphone has a bubble on the screen case. im annoyed that i have an extensive vocabulary and yet can barely ever beat anyone in words with friends.  im annoyed that i have to be put in situations where people disregard my intelligence and play me for a fool.   im annoyed that i can sit here and write an essay about annoyance and yet cant move myself to do anything that is academically required.  im probably the worst student youll never meet.

Blaxploitation

I am black because the sun embraced me tight and didnt want to let go I am black because god wanted me to have color in my heart soul and culture I am black because the drumbeats the thick curls the hip shaking the food that is soul shaking the love like sugar cane cant get enough of me. I amblack because i didnt need an appearance of lightness to shine bright. I am black because the palette of golds browns yellows and oranges needed a new shade of beautiful to live amongst them

I loveourpeople

Iloveourpeople. I love the people who let their hearts move their hips and music feed their souls The ones who range from honey to cinnnamon to pecan to mahogany to roasted peanut to black coffee Delicious are the ever so many shades of brown that make us black I love our people We are the soil of the earth that has sprouted up around us The hands that built the pictureworthy monuments that lie in the frames of the privleged white family down the street Amazing is the fact that dark is often equated with failure as well as laziness, incompetence amd other large negative words. My people "failed " to build the pyramids, failed to mother millions of blue eyed plantation brats, failed to bring soul to the countries we were shipped to, failed to create the stoplight, and failed to ever have a black president. My people are of africa of the united states of canada of jamaica of the dominican republic, of haiti, of nicaragua My people are the sunkissed people of color. My people are black.

fancy as ****

buenas días amigos,

Yo soy vivir en los República Dominicano por por las todas de mi viva.
This is the most beautiful, rugged, simple place ever! I am currently sitting next to the open balcony of my presidential suite at Hard Rock's Punta Cana resort.  Last night when my mother and I arrived at the front doors of the resort we were greeted with stumbling handsome men of a mahogany color that escorted us to a private room where we were frantically handed champagne and any other beverage we desired.  As a young woman waited in the corner of the room with a tray glued to her hand, we listed to Miguel in his noteworthy English tell us about the resort and how spectacular we and it was.  Then Ruan escorted us to our suite via bumpy go kart but only after he proceeded to tour us around the entire resort as he scrambled to remember English descriptions for all of the attractions.

Beautiful this place is.
Excited I am.
Tan I shall be.
These people are so gorgeous they've got me smiling from ear to ear.
If it doesn't sound crazy, which coming from my head it probably does, I'd really love to take one with me.
I mean, who wouldn't want a young, strapping, pecan complexioned man to come back to America with them?
 :)
More to come.
until then I'm off to drink my champagne and parade around this resort like the *STAR that Z.A , Mr. November himself tells me I am.

Adios amigos.
Stay fancy.
